About Me:I grew up living off the land in a small community in Northern British Columbia where I learned the value of a hard days work and where I gained a huge appreciation for small town living and the importance of getting to know your neighbours. After obtaining my Commercial Pilot licence at the age of 21, I went on to explore the world on numerous adventures including marrying my husband in a tiny village near Mt.Everest, Nepal. I came back from traveling with an even larger zest for the outdoors and immersed myself in numerous technical courses that would one day help me to pursue a career as an Outdoor Adventure Guide. Working as a Guide, throughout the Canadian Rockies, Vancouver Island and the Sea to Sky Corridor, is what ultimately led me to discover Squamish in 2001 while leading a multi-day adventure trips in the area with my co-guide, and husband, Buzz. Seeing all that Squamish had to offer we knew immediately that this was the place we would call home. Over the years I have immersed myself in all that Squamish has to offer: From the world class outdoor recreation activities and the numerous community events to the many volunteer opportunities and, of course, the truly wonderful people that live here. I have many years of experience volunteering for ‘Emergency Services’ such as Nelson Search & Rescue and the Squamish Red Cross Disaster Management Team. I have also served as a Volunteer Firefighter and as a Professional Firefighter. I am well respected in the business community in Squamish. I spent a number of years on the Squamish Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, as well as, held the role as President. About Me:Kristi grew up in Lynn Valley, North Vancouver and was introduced to Squamish many times throughout her childhood. She has fond memories of going to the “Outdoor School”; camping at Alice Lake; and traveling on the “old” Sea-to-Sky Highway after a day of skiing at Whistler/Blackcomb. In 2006, after a thorough property search of various Lower Mainland neighborhoods, Kristi and her family decided that Squamish was the best place to make their first property investment. Subsequently, in 2009, she was able to make a second Squamish real estate purchase while finding wonderful tenants to live in her first home. Professionally, Kristi has demonstrated leadership in areas of office systems organization and management, customer service and finding innovative solutions for new businesses. Over the last 3 years she has immersed herself in the real estate industry by working for a local and successful property development company committed to projects in the Sea-to-Sky corridor. About Me:A licensed and award winning REALTOR® since 1979, Marianne has been helping clients buy and sell real estate in Squamish and the Sea to Sky corridor since 1987. A proud resident since 1962, she grew up enjoying all the outdoor activities that the Sea to Sky corridor had to offer; skiing, swimming, mountain biking and hiking. After graduating from Howe Sound Secondary, Marianne went on to the University of British Columbia where she received a B.Sc. in Psychology. In 1984 she and her husband, Van, moved from Whistler to Squamish for all the things she had loved while growing up in Squamish – a healthy, active and clean environment, perfect for raising their 3 children (and numerous dogs).
