Northyards

This small neighbourhood located just north of the Business Park and south of Brackendale. It is one of the older areas of residential in Squamish.  Originally made up of single-family homes on large lots and 2 small mobile home parks, this area is now undergoing sustainable revitalization.  Many of the large lots have been amalgamated over the years to provide higher density, mostly town homes.  The transition began in the late 90’s and continues today with several small high risers and a few commercial/retail spaces in the new building mix.
The area has easy access to Highway 99, is very close to the confluence of the Squamish and Mamquam River. Walking and easy cycling routes to Brennan Park, the Business Park along with Downtown.
The area features the West Coast Railway Museum’s fascinating and up-close exhibits of Canada’s railway history. It is also only a few minutes drive to the BC Museum of Mining and the gorgeous Shannon Falls.
