As a proud member of Mikisew Cree First Nation, Jay still raises a few eyebrows with his blonde hair and blue eyes but often speaks fondly of his childhood experiences on the south shores of Lake Athabasca. A Westcoast boy now for over 30 years, Jay, his wife Kristen and their young family moved to Squamish in 2011 to escape their three bedroom apartment in Richmond for a better life.
After 34 years of building a local Edonton furniture store into a national brand, Jay retired from The Brick Corporation in 2016 seeking business opportunities and avenues that kept him close to home. “I can’t say enough about my wife Kristen. She works outside the home, homeschools our three boys, is a strong member of our local church and I felt she needed more of my support.”
As a full time Realtor since 2016, Jay has used his expertise in customer service and speaks warmly of the relationships he has built through every transition. “I don’t just sell houses, it seems the bonds tend to grow deeper, and I often keep in contact in other ways well after a transaction completes. I definitely enjoy that part of the job the most.”
Jay is, however, most proud of his family and devotes nearly all of his free time to his wife Kristen and their three boys, Charlie, Jayce, and Justyce.
