Whether you’re looking for fine dining, pub grub, or a delicious breakfast or brunch, Squamish has something for everyone. There is a huge range of cafes, pubs and restaurants to choose from depending on what you’re looking for. Here is our guide to dining out in Squamish:

On the Go

Fergie’s: Fergie’s is a firm local’s favourite offering fantastic breakfasts, brunches and lunches. In winter you can cosy up inside by the fire and in summer you can relax outside on the deck. The cafe gets its produce from a variety of organic and free range local suppliers. The menu offers classic breakfasts along with some great eggs Benedict. Well worth checking out! Zephyr Cafe: Located in Downtown Squamish this cafe encourages clean, healthy eating and offers a great selection of veggie, vegan, raw and gluten-free dishes. The cafe has a wonderful atmosphere with friendly staff and has possibly the best coffee in Squamish. Sunflower Bakery: Watch the world go by at the Sunflower bakery on Cleveland Ave.  A small and funky cafe with a street side dining platform, making it a great place to be seen or watch the downtown passers by.  Something sweet, interesting and fun can always be found on the menu for eat in or take out.


Howe Sound Brew Pub: Known by locals and tourists alike, the Brew Pub offers a relaxed atmosphere, great pub food and obviously beer! The beers are fantastic and the food is excellent, making this one of the highest rated pubs in the Lower Mainland. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, you should make a trip to the Howe Sound, it will quickly become a favourite spot! Sushi Sen: Regularly voted the best sushi in Squamish, a visit to Sushi Sen and you can immediately see why this is. Whether you’re dining in, having a casual meal at the bar or taking away, Sushi Sen has great quality food that will have you returning for more.

Fine Dining

Pepe & Gringo’s: A Squamish favorite and always a sure bet for dinner is Pepe and Gringo’s in the Garibaldi Highlands.  They are open for lunch Friday to Sunday and have a pleasant patio facing west, providing beautiful sunset and mountain views. Here you will find a perfect blend between fine dining and a casual atmosphere, where many of the locals can be found.  The menu is varied and the food is consistently great.  Ingo and his staff provide a friendly and inviting place at the bar if you want to pop in for a drink or just a quick nibble from the tapas menu. Essence of India: Here you can find traditional Indian cuisine, authentically prepared in a casual/fine dining setting. With awesome food and great staff you really can’t go wrong with Essence of India. Recently renovated to accommodate more seats, this restaurant is one of the most popular spots in Squamish and with good reason!   There are too many great places in Squamish to list so why not head into town and find your favourite spot?
